Mitsubishi Paper Mills has established the “Code of Conduct of the Mitsubishi Paper Mills Group “ with the aim of fulfilling its social responsibility as a corporate citizen and being a company that deserves the trust of the community. In accordance with the spirit of this code of conduct, we recognize the importance of paying great attention to the handling of personal information in light of the importance of protecting personal information within our advanced information communications society. We have established the following policy and will endeavor to tightly control personal information handled by Mitsubishi Paper Mills including that of our customers to prevent it from being leaked, modified or accessed without authorization.

1.Basic Policy

Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall endeavor to protect personal information by ensuring officers, employees and all personnel involved in our operations recognize the importance of personal information, positioning the protection of personal information as a priority management issue, and ensuring all personnel involved in our operations are aware of their everyday responsibilities.

In light of the importance of personal information, Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall not retain any unnecessary personal information not used within the scope of our operations, and shall specify the purpose and use appropriate methods when acquiring personal information.

Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall take appropriate steps to ensure the security of personal information held.

Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall faithfully comply with the law if any requests or complaints about personal information are made by the subject of the information.

2.Purpose

Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall use personal information provided by the customer to provide information on Mitsubishi Paper Mills’ products, services and other related topics, and to improve and enhance Mitsubishi Paper Mills’ products and services. Personal information on customers shall not be used for other purposes without the consent of the customer concerned.

Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall use personal information it holds on parties other than customers, such as employees, for purposes within a reasonable extent.

3.Joint Use

Mitsubishi Paper Mills may jointly use personal information with joint users stipulated in advance within the Mitsubishi Paper Mills Group to improve the product value and services of the entire group.

When jointly using personal information, Mitsubishi Paper Mills shall take responsibility in ensuring joint users place importance on the personal information and manage it appropriately and securely.
