FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1. How does Silver Nano Particle Ink act to obtain conductivity?
As illustrated below, Silver Nano Particle Ink interacts with the substances on Special Media and instantly obtain conductivity by chemical sintering.
Figure

  1. After printing, silver nano particles in the ink droplet accumulate on the surface of Special Media selectively.
  2. Chemical sintering agents diffuse from the microporous layer of Special Media.
  3. Dispersing agents react with chemical sintering agents and come off from nano particles.
  4. Silver nano particles fuse together and transform into porous silver foil.

Q2. Should I use both items (Silver Nano Particle Ink and Special Media) together anytime?
Yes. Interaction between Silver Nano Particle Ink and Special Media, namely chemical sintering, is essential to obtain conductivity (see Q1.). Therefore, both items are always required to use together. Poor results will be gained if you use Silver Nano Particle Ink on other substrate (e.g. no conductivity, weak adhesiveness, etc.).
Q3. Why is Special Media so important? Does it differ from inkjet papers?
Our Special Media is specially designed for use of Silver Nano Particle Ink to create electronic circuits with high conductivity and great strength. Therefore, it is completely different from inkjet papers.
Q4. Can I use Silver Nano Particle Ink with home printers? How to use it?
Yes, but it does not mean “suitable with any printers”. Our Silver Nano Particle Ink is compatible with piezoelectric inkjet print heads, and its universal model “NBSIJ-MU01” can be used with home printers. You can fill our ink in inkjet cartridges, and use it by home printers. However, please noted that it is not official usage authorized by printer manufacturers. Therefore, we assume no responsibility for any loss or damage caused by printing with our products.
Q5. Is it possible to solder on the electronic circuit printed with your ink?
No, soldering on the printed electronic circuit is impossible because of its low heat resistance. (Its maximum temperature limit is approx. 100 to 120 degrees.) Instead, conductive paste is recommended for connecting other parts to the circuit.
Q6. How should I place an order or get a quotation on your products?
The responsible distributor who handles your inquiries and orders varies depending on the destination country where you ask to deliver.
Please refer to the list below and contact the right distributor to you.
