The firefighting unit at Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Bielefeld's plant at Bielefeld, Germany was reorganized in 2004. Up to that point, the unit had been responsible for firefighting and other anti-disaster efforts solely within the plant, but after reorganization its scope of responsibility was extended to cover the whole local area, including major highways. The unit celebrated the 150th anniversary of its establishment in 2009.
